The Greater Baltimore Model A Ford Club
March 19, 2011 - Fort McHenry

O
n March 19, 2011 the GBMAFC visited Fort McHenry in Baltimore in order to tour the Fort and see the new Visitors’ Center that had been open for only two weeks.

The Visitors’ Center had an excellent movie describing the creation of the Star Spangled Banner with a dramatic ending. Some Civil War re-enactors were at the Fort practicing for an upcoming re-enactment.

The weather was perfect but sufficiently chilly that only one Model A made it to the event. After touring the Fort, the group had lunch at a nearby restaurant, the Hull Street Blues Café, where we took up the entire restaurant and had a wonderful lunch. We all had fun seeing the Fort, eating lunch, and socializing.
